Luana Savings Bank Named Metro’s Best Bank for Seventh Consecutive Year

Luana Savings Bank has once again been named Metro’s Best Bank, earning the honor for the seventh consecutive year. The bank has held the title every year from 2020 through 2026, continuing its strong track record of serving customers throughout the Des Moines Metro and surrounding communities, with local Iowa branches in Polk City, Clive, and Norwalk.

Presented through the Des Moines Register’s Community Choice Awards, Metro’s Best is an annual, reader-voted competition recognizing outstanding local businesses across the region. The awards feature nominations and public voting, giving community members the opportunity to recognize their favorite businesses and service providers.

The 2026 nomination and voting rounds took place in May and July, with the top nominees advancing to the final round. Luana Savings Bank earned the top spot among major financial institutions in the Des Moines Metro, reaffirming the trust and confidence customers place in the bank.

The winners were announced at the Des Moines Register’s Metro’s Best Gala on October 7, 2026, with the results also published online and in the newspaper shortly afterward. View the 2026 Metro’s Best winners.

Before the Metro-wide competition was introduced, Luana Savings Bank was named West Des Moines’ Best Bank or Credit Union in 2017 and 2018. Since 2020, the expanded competition has recognized the best businesses across the greater Des Moines area.
