Luana Savings Bank Supports Local Food Pantries in 2025

Luana Savings Bank is proud to have recently completed a coordinated community effort across all six of its branch locations (Luana, Ossian, New Hampton, Polk City, Clive, and Norwalk) to help with food insecurity efforts during the holiday season. Luana Savings Bank’s campaign was called “Fill the Pantry, Feed the Joy.” Throughout November and December 2025, each branch hosted a local food drive and offered matching funds for monetary donations up to $500 per branch to help support families in need within our local communities.

In addition to collecting donations, Luana Savings Bank employees volunteered their time with their branch’s local food pantry. Team members assisted where help was needed at each pantry, including stocking shelves, sorting food items, and participating in food rescue efforts. The hands-on service activities allowed team members to directly support the organizations that work so hard fighting hunger within their communities.

“We’re grateful for the incredible work our local food pantry partners do year-round,” said Allanda Gehling, CRA Director for Luana Savings Bank. “Our goal is to stand beside them, supporting their mission and amplifying their efforts through donations and volunteer services, especially during the holiday season.”
